Windows Phone App Studio Beta Receives Updates

Microsoft has released new updates to its Windows Phone App Studio Beta, the app building platform for those wanting to create content-based apps, but may not have a strong app development background. Included in the release is a redesigned UI which updates the most-used actions and streamlines the workflow, to make tasks faster and easier to execute. Also new is a touch-enabled UI to support App Studio development work on a variety of form factors and browsers. And there is a rebuilt emulator, which now supports dynamic text updates, allowing users to see changes on the fly.

Other new features include image conversion from JPG to PNG, full-screen image rotation, and a more fluid integration of sections and data sources, increasing the usability of apps. There is better structure, readability, and performance of the source code that created using App Studio Beta. There are also new templates for businesses, for building and launching apps quickly. The new release also provides the ability to generate a full Microsoft Visual Studio project containing both a Windows Phone and a Windows 8 version of an app, to make the app available through the Windows Store on Windows 8 and Windows Phone devices.

Microsoft says that over 350,000 users of all skill levels have accessed the Windows Phone App Studio Beta, resulting in 300,000 projects and 20,000 apps published to Windows Phone Store. For more information visit the link below.
